4 more days
We had to go see a Perinatologist today. The hospital has this new rule that nobody can be induced before 39 weeks, so my doctor needed a back-up opinion. Long story short, we are all set for Tuesday delivery (38 weeks).
At the Perinatologist, we got another ultrasound, which was great - because they got this great face shot of Baby Harris. Reilly was there with us and really enjoyed seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat (and climbing on the bed, breaking the blinds, screaming, typical things that happen when a two year old is sitting in a doctor's office for 2 hours when she should be napping ;-)).
According to the ultrasound tech, the baby is weighing in at 8 pounds, 11 ounces...so if that is right, we'll be over 9 pounds on Tuesday (ouch!). Reilly was born at 37.5 weeks, the day before she was born the tech said she weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and sure enough - she weighed in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces.
(No comments about how chubby the cheeks look ;-) We are hoping that is just from being squished against the uterus.
So, you'll be hearing from us in 4 days with news of the arrival.

37 Weeks
We are 37 weeks in the morning. Our countdown clock says 8 days. It is getting very real that we will bring home baby soon. Its amazing though how you just don't have the time to think about it as much as you do when you have no kids at home.
I'm excited, but also concerned about how Reilly will do. Some days I think she will do great, other days, I wonder. I'm getting more and more tired and ready to hold this baby in my arms instead of my tummy. Wish me luck this week!

36 weeks - aka - HOME STRETCH
Heartburn, worry, fear, excitement...and 14 days til induction!
We did our NST a day early this week because Catriona was concerned about movement this morning. We went in and everything was fine - but always good to just get double-checked.
She ate too much at Rosh Hashanah dinner last night which led to a night and morning of heartburn...but lets hope that clears up soon with all the other wonderful ailments. She's ready to deliver this healthy, screaming baby! ;-)

35 Weeks
We just got back from our 35 week NST, and things look good. Baby passed quickly - unlike last week when s/he was overly active. This week s/he was just enough active.
Catriona was still having contractions yesterday so the doctor doubled her medication and since then she is doing well.
Until next week...
